Rehabilitation of the Sitabicha Multipurpose Pan
The FLLoCA Program team, led by Program Coordinator @PeterOdhengo and Task Team Leader @murathakinuthia engaged with the local community and the County Climate Change Committee to assess progress on the rehabilitation of the Sitabicha Multipurpose Pan.
Currently at 70% completion, this transformative project is set to provide a reliable water source for domestic use, irrigation, and livestock watering, addressing critical water scarcity challenges in the region.
With an investment of KES 56 million, the project is poised to benefit approximately 45,000 individuals across 15 villages, directly enhancing livelihoods, food security, and climate resilience.
This initiative exemplifies the power of community-driven solutions in fostering sustainable development and empowering local populations.
